Walked Monty in Mugdock Park today. What a park — it’s massive! We only discovered it recently and have been but a couple of times and the vast majority of its expanse is remains unexplored by us.
I suspect it will have to span several episodes of the upcoming video series, The Parks of Glasgow, where Mo, Monty and I (the Parks of Glasgow) review the various parks of Glasgow (geddit?).
The Parks of Glasgow definitely has some legs. I like it already.
Mugdock is where me and the late great Mr Parkin went one dark evening and filmed some pick up shots to try and save the hooked on hobbies – ufo spotters episode.
Honestly, you couldnt make it up.
That was a classic episode in a classic series.
And RIP, Barkin’ Parkin. Thought of him (as I always do) when I passed through Milngavie on the way to Mugdock. To think I missed his funeral because I was working for free on an inconsequential BBC drama makes my blood boil.
And Parks of Glasgow will launch soon, along with the return of Fat Man Dancing, Spoiler Alert! and Ken of the Road.
